Nandi Education Service Delivery Scorecard - School Assessments

This dataset contains comprehensive service delivery assessments of educational institutions across Nandi County, Kenya. The survey evaluates school performance across nine key quality dimensions: infrastructure quality and safety, accessibility for children with disabilities, water and sanitation facilities, teacher engagement, communication, school safety and discipline, learning resources, class size, and extracurricular activities. Each record includes: School information: Name, type (ECDE, Primary, Secondary, Special), nature (Day, Boarding), operational status, and teacher employer (e.g., Teachers Service Commission) Service quality ratings: Numerical scores (scale 1-5) for nine education quality dimensions with corresponding perception classifications Governance & equity indicators: Teacher availability, gender inclusion in curriculum and programs, fee transparency, and receipt issuance for payment accountability Qualitative feedback: Open-ended responses on key challenges affecting student learning Infrastructure status: Operational status (Complete & in use, Incomplete & in use, Under construction, Closed) Geographic coordinates: Latitude and longitude for spatial analysis and educational planning Purpose: To assess school service delivery performance, identify quality and equity gaps, and inform prioritization of educational infrastructure investments and capacity-building interventions across Nandi County.
