Nandi Water Projects Service Delivery Scorecard - Water Source Assessments

This dataset contains comprehensive assessments of water project performance and sustainability across Nandi County, Kenya. The survey evaluates water access infrastructure-including springs, boreholes, piped systems, and other water sources-across nine key dimensions: reliability, water quality, affordability, accessibility/distance, safety and security, management effectiveness, PWD (person with disabilities) access, conflict management, and environmental hygiene. Each record includes: Project information: Name, type (spring, borehole, piped system, etc.), primary function (domestic, irrigation, livestock, mixed), and ownership (public, private, community) Service quality ratings: Numerical scores (scale 1-5) for nine service dimensions with corresponding perception classifications Governance indicators: User committee registration, women's representation in leadership, and payment mechanisms Sustainability assessment: Open-ended responses on major threats to project sustainability and presence of water-borne disease incidences Economic data: Water pricing (per 20L jerrican/bucket) Geographic coordinates: Latitude and longitude for spatial analysis and mapping Purpose: To assess water project service delivery performance, identify sustainability risks, and inform prioritization of water infrastructure investments and maintenance interventions across Nandi County.
