Managing Organisations, Members, And Passwords

Handle organisation setup, member administration, and user password support in the admin interface.

Administration work affects user trust quickly, so clarity and repeatability matter more than speed.

This guide covers the most common support tasks for platform operators and organisation admins.

Organisation Structure

New organisations are placed under the configured CSO Data Commons parent organisation by default when the environment is set correctly.

This keeps the public organisation tree consistent and avoids one-off setup work during routine administration.

Member Management

Use the members area to review user accounts, open individual profiles, and carry out admin-level support actions.

Steps

  1. 1Open the Members section in the admin area.
  2. 2Filter by organisation if needed.
  3. 3Open the target user profile.
  4. 4Confirm you are acting on the correct user before making changes.

Password Support

Users can change their own password in account settings. Sysadmins can reset passwords from a member profile when direct support is needed.

Watch out: Password resets should be limited to trusted administrators and communicated securely to the user.
